Digital Engagement #3

In this blog post I will explain my creative vision behind this website and what I am planning on adding to it as the semester continues.

Landing Page Elements:

-Potential background colors include a light purple or orange to match the dreamy aesthetic of the pink text in the header background image. Some fonts I have considered for pages of the website include Norwester, League Gothic, Chloe, Intro Rust, and/or Abril Fatface.

-For the header of the landing page, I have created a background image with my name and the title of the subdomain. It has a landscape ratio with the “Dynapuff” font and pink text.

-The next landing page block will be a cover page image with a 1:1 ratio located in the center of the block. It will have a button that says “About Me” with a hyperlink that will take the user to my first blog post.

-There will be 3 more cover page images with a 1:1 ratio to take the user to different pages on the website. Two will be on the left side with their respective hyperlink button on the right, and one on the right side with their hyperlink button on the left.

Blog Post Page Elements:

-For the header of the blog post page, I will create a background image similar to the landing page. It will be in a landscape ratio with text on the image (not a separate element).

-The background of the page will be white. The different text blocks will be underlined in light blue to indicate that they are hyperlinks you can click to go to their respective blog posts.

Art Projects Page Elements

-This page will serve as a gallery of different art pieces I have created. Each piece will have an image, some will have a 1:1 aspect ratio, while others will be in 4:5 or 3:2 depending on the image scale of the piece. The background of the page will be either gray or white.

-I plan to have the image blocks organized in categories by rows. For example, one row will be categorized by sketches of real people (portraits), and will have a block of text on the left side that says “Portraits”. Another one will be sketches of fictional characters (fanart), with a block of text on the right side that says “Fanart”.

Written Project Page Elements

-For the header of the written works page, I will create a background image like the landing and blog post pages. It will be in a landscape ratio with text on the image (not a separate element). The background of the header background image will be gray.

-The background of the page will be either gray or a golden shade of yellow. The different text blocks will be underlined in light blue to indicate that they are hyperlinks you can click to go to pages that will have text blocks of the respective written projects.
